New Designer Fashion Network

I found out about this new network from the Couture in the City blog. It's called Second Chance Fashions, and after reading through various areas of the site, my take on this is that it is a place for fellow fashion designers (which of course would include jewelry designers) to network and socialize. Though, I have to admit, I'm still trying to wrap my brain around this. Its official launch date is tomorrow, August 15th.
Here's some more explanation about their mission posted on its FAQ:

Events We have just started but we will have events and contests with valuable rewards and prizes. More to come on this topic as we just wanted to get second chance fashion up and going! One of our main ideas about the community was to be able to bring more opportunity, a "second chance" to new designers and small businesses in the fashion world.
